Obituary

Paul Frye was born August 10, 1942 and departed this life Sunday, September 20, 2020 reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late George and Leora (Martin) Frye.

He is survived by: his wife, Leta Frye; one son, Richard (Terry) Frye; one daughter, Jill Frye (Chester) Ramsey; four grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Teater, Marissa and Bethany Frye, Shana (Glen) Rose; and four great grandchildren, Bain and Brooks Teater, Lauren and Kylie Rose.  He is also survived by:  four brothers, Harold, George, Thurston, and Don Frye; two sisters, Helen Denney and Louise Reed; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, George and Leora Frye, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Fred and Freeman Frye; and three sisters, Frances Groce, Neta Baker and Sue Bertram.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
