Paul Ray Dunagan was born May 27, 1932 and departed this life Saturday, April 18, 2015 reaching the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Montie and Clara (Canada) Dunagan.

He married Colleen Houk and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Colleen Dunagan; one daughter, Melanie Brummett (Michael); one son, Paul Ronald Dunagan (Charlotte); four grandchildren, Dana Smith (Jerod), Nathan Brummett (Catherine), R. L. Dunagan, and Michele Brinegar (Bryan); and one great grandson, Andrew Smith. He is also survived by: three brothers, Harold, Hugh, and Donald Dunagan; and three sisters, Etherage Shadoan, Edith Shearer, and Lynette Polson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Montie and Clara Dunagan, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nell Page.

He was a Navy veteran who served his country proudly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2015 after 6 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: American Heart Association
