Paul Douglas Troxell, better known as BUDDY, was born June 13, 1951, and departed this life Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his home in the Stop community having reached the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late Paul Troxell and Earlene Cox Troxell.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Franklin Troxell, his son, Kyle Douglas Troxell, and his special fur baby, Snickers 🐾. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Troxell Perdue, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

Buddy loved his family. He enjoyed having cookouts and watching Kentucky basketball, Atlanta Braves baseball, and old western TV shows. In his younger years, Buddy was proud to play on Hank Bassett's "Bassett Crushers" softball team.

He was a member of the Church of Christ at Stop, KY. He loved his brothers and sisters in Christ, checking on them often.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 between 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Stop Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Stop Cemetery fund at: 4068 Hwy 1546, Monticello, KY 42633.
