Obituary
Ovid Powell was born November 27, 1914 and departed this life July 11, 2004 reaching the age of 89 years. He was the son of Henry Powell and Zona Elam Powell.
He was united in marriage to Theresa Marguerite Ingram and to this union five children were born.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Theresa Marguerite Powell; one daughter, Mahala Duffey of Lugoff, SC; Terry, Phillip, Ted, and Earl Powell all of Indiana; two half sisters, Geneva Ruff of Cincinnati, OH and Anna Ruth Anderson of Cynthiana, KY; one half brother, Harold Powell of Monticello, KY; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Zona Powell; one half sister, Louise Waechter; and two half brothers, Kenneth and Claude Powell.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 13 between the hours of 6-8 PM in the funeral home chapel
Funeral Service: Wednesday, Graveside services will be held at 10 AM at the Elk Spring Cemetery
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
