Oscar Turner was born May 20, 1931 and departed this life Saturday, October 20, 2012 reaching the age of 81. He was the son of the late Hiram Travis Turner and Martha Alice (Childers) Turner Myers.

He is survived by: 1 son, Ralph Turner of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Cathy Sue Miller of Urbana, IL and Debbie Stringer of Monticello, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Shawn Turner and Travis Miller. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Kenneth Turner of Albany, KY; and 2 sisters, Lena and Zona Mae both of Illinois; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Monday, October 22 in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 23 at 11 AM in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello, KY with Bro. Anson Perkins and Bro. Michael Wiliams officiating. Burial will follow in the New Sandusky Cemetery.
