Obituary
Orval "Hoss"Atkinson was born January 25, 1937 and departed this life Wednesday, January 27, 2010 reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late Charles and Mary Nova (Guffey) Atkinson.
He is survived by: 5 sons, Gary, Jerry, Larry, Johnny, and Kelvin; 3 daugthers, Judy, Brenda Jo, and Lisa; 8 grandchildren, Cory, Chynah, Jeremiah, Tyler, Kaylie Atkinson, Julie Clark, James Ford, and Heather Douthry; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kylie and Brendon Clark. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Harold (Linda) and Alvin (Debbie) Atkinson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Charles and Mary Atkinson, he was preceded in death by: 1 son, Earl Atkinson; 1 brother, Jimmy Atkinson; and 1 grandchild, Brent Atkinson.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Friday, January 29th after 9:30 am
Funeral Service: Friday, January 29th at 11:30 am
Interment: Gap Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
