Obituary
ORETTA BROWN was born October 2, 1922 and departed this life August 26, 2003 reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Joe Stringer and Estill Brumley Stringer.
She was united in marriage to Hub Brown and to this union 3 children were born.
She is survived by 1 son – Jack Brown, 2 daughters – Jessie Sullivan and Debbie Acrey, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 4 sisters – Earlene Troxell and Jessie Barnes of Monticello, Lena Troxell and Maxine Six of IL, along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband – Hub, 1 grandchild - Stacy Edwards, 1 brother – Herbert Stringer, and 1 sister – Mary Poore.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28 after 6:00 pm
Funeral Service: Funeral services will be Friday, August 29 at 2:00 pm
Interment: Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery
