Ora Jane Piercy was born October 12, 1939, and departed this life Friday, February 4, 2022, reaching the age of 82 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Pearlie Emaline (Fulton) Stephens.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Darrell and Donnie Piercy; 1 daughter, Peggy Daniel; 2 brothers, Frank and George Stephens; 4 sisters, Joyce Lowe, Elgie Mae Carter, Lucy Stinson, and Rita Hancock; 7 grandchildren, Sierra, Amy, Abigail, Chelsey, Holly & Stevie Piercy, and Janice Appleby; 11 great-grandchildren, Bryson, Raelynn & Jamie Lewis, Oliver Hoskins, Jasmine, Gabe, Danielle Piercy Rains & Brandon Piercy, Makia Mason, Blake Gregory, and Brinley Appleby; along with a host of family and friends who mourns her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Piercy; siblings, Billy Stephens, Velma Burton, Eva Groce, Rosco Stephens; Eddie Stephens, Sarah Belle Atkinson, Avo Hicks & Myrtie Stephens; and 1 grandchild, Jamie Piercy.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be in the Old Bethel Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Ora Jane Piercy Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
