Obituary
Ora L. Guffey, age 84, daughter of the late Allen and Maggie Denny Hoover of the Alpha community, passed away on June 27, 2004.
She was born on August 9, 1919, in the Powersburg community. She was united in marriage to Grady Guffey on August 13, 1936 and to this union seven children were born. She is survived by seven children: Ottis Guffey of Indianapolis, IN, Sara Richardson, Leonard Guffey and Jack W. Guffey of Monticello, KY, Charlie Guffey of Patricksburg, IN, Roger Guffey of Lexington, KY and Judy Morrow of New Palestine, IN. She is also survived by one brother, Oral Hoover of Alpha, KY. She was a dedicated wife and mother.
She professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and left the testimony that she was prepared to go home.
She leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives who mourn her passing.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 29 after 5 PM in the funeral home chapel
Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 30 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel
Interment: Taylor's Grove Cemetery
