Opal Cox Smith, age 77 of Hodgenville, KY, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, KY.

She was born March 7, 1935 in Greensburg, KY; the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Louise (Calhoun) Cox.

She was united in marriage to Randall Rogers; whom preceded her in death. She later married Howard Leland Smith; whom also preceded her in death.

She is survived by: 1 daughter, Belinda Creech of Campbellsville, KY; 1 son, Bill Smith of Highland Heights, KY; 4 grandchildren, Kai Creech, Cee Cee Creech, Carter Smith and Campbell Smith. She is also survived by: 3 brothers, Percy Cox of Orlando, FL, Harold Cox of LaGrange, GA, and Edgar Cox of Donansburg, KY; and 1 sister, Sarah Mitchell of Greensburg, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Percy and Mary Cox, she was preceded in death by: her 1st husband, Randall Rogers; her 2nd husband, Howard Smith; and 1 brother, Robert Cox.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21st from 12 – 2 pm (EST) at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, KY. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 2 pm (EST) at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church with Dr. Damon Eubanks officiating.
