Omie Mae Shearer was born January 5, 1935 and departed this life Friday, January 15, 2021 reaching the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late James Harrison and Lizzie Marie (Crabtree) Jones.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Harrison and Lizzie Marie Jones, her husband, William Logan Shearer, brothers, Estil, Bygie Wilburn, and Kyle Jones; and her niece, Nadine Jones Keeton.

She is survived by: her son, Everett Ray Guffey, Jr.; one sister, Ruby Edwards; four brothers, Paul, Kelley, Claude, and Frank Jones. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Eli (Paige) Sexton, Matthew Sexton and four great grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Macy and Colton Sexton; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Sandusky Cemetery.
