Oma Lee Dishman Hancock was born March 1, 1939 and departed this life Monday, April 04, 2016 reaching the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late Freeman and Nellie (Chriswell) Dishman.

She is survived by: her husband, Carlos Hancock; two sons, Allan "Crook" Dishman and John Dishman; four daughters, Jane Hicks, Lucinda "Lou" Hicks, Debbie Simpson, and Geneva Jones; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: three brothers, Jessie Dishman, Harold "Harlan" Dishman, and Sterlie Dishman; and two sisters, Patsy King and Glennis Bertram; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Freeman and Nellie Dishman, she was preceded in death by: one son, Phillip Dishman; three brothers, Ralph, Carl and Irvin Dishman; and one sister, Mae Harmon.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 after 5pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2pm in the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
