Odis Eads, age 93, of Monticello, husband of his late wife Stella Ruth Abbott Eads and current wife Ruby Easter Eads, passed away on Saturday 02/24/2018 in Burkesville, KY.
He is survived by a daughter- Jane Eads Perdue Cooper; 2 grandchildren- Heather Perdue and Jared (and Melissa) Perdue; a greatgrandson- Eli Jack Perdue; and 1 sister- Ruth Gossage.
Also surviving is his wife Ruby Easter Eads and stepchildren Dewayne (Mary), Teresa, Vicky, and Darrell (Rachel) Easter. Also surviving are 9 step-grandchildren Travis Easter, Leslie Hatfield, Justin, Allen, Jared and Adam Smith; Casey Tolliver, Gretchen Phillips and Melissa (Jason) Tucker; and 16 step-great-grandchildren Kennedy and Chase Easter, Stella Hatfield, Shannon, Hannah, Natalie, Reilly, Ruby, Cody, Andrew, and Daisy Smith, Liam Griffiths, Raiden, Aralyn, and Tucklan Phillips, and Isabella and Olivia Tucker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 after 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will also be Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 3 PM in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in Elk Spring Cemetery.
Odis worked at the Monticello Banking Company for many years working in several different capacities. He was a member of the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church; and served his country in World War II in the United States Marine Corp, in Marine Scout Bombing Squadron VMSB 333, 3rd Airwing. He was stationed in North Carolina(Bogue Field), Texas, and the Pacific Theater.joining when he was 17 years old.
