Nova Crabtree was born April 1, 1920 and departed this life Friday, June 03, 2011 reaching the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Elton and Lucy (Miller) Anderson.

She was united in marriage to A. R. "Roscoe" Crabtree on December 3, 1938 and to this union 4 children were born.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Max Russell Crabtree of Monticello, KY and Rayola Crabtree of Louisville, KY; 2 daughters, Eula Morris and Sheila Abbot both of Monticello, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 brother, Schuyler Anderson of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Elton and Lucy Anderson, she was preceded in death by: her husband, A. R. "Roscoe" Abbott; 1 brother, Raymond Anderson; and 3 sisters, Geneva Lee, Goldie Bell, and Evalee Ratcliff.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 4 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Anson Perkins and Bro. Dewey Burks officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
