Norma Sue Simpson was born April 24, 1953, and departed this life Thursday, January 29, 2026, reaching the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Della (Bell) Rednour.

She is survived by: four daughters, Barbara Simpson-Laws, Patty Simpson, Alice Kidd, and Heather Bell (Chris); nine grandchildren, Jordan Crabtree, Brittney Chaplin, Tyler Dishman, LeeAnn Bennett, Kaitlin Neal, Ryan Malone, Waylin Matthews, Elizabeth Bell, and Danny Allen Bell; and 16 grandchildren and one on the way.

She is also survived by:  two brothers, Troy Rednour and Rondal Rednour; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Charlie and Della Rednour, she was preceded in death by: her husband, John Henry Simpson; siblings, Velda Maxine Rednour, Bobby Donald Rednour, Joyce Ann Rednour, and Willard Rednour; and one grandchild, Graclyn Sue Neal.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 1, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
