NELSON L. MASSENGALE was born June 30th, 1930 in Monticello, Kentucky and departed this life Wednesday, June 4th, 2003, reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of Wash Massengale and Nora Crabtree Massengale.

He was united in marriage to Allie Gay "Roxie" Massengale and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by his wife Roxie, one daughter-Nancy Bell of Monticello, KY and two sons-Jeff and Greg Massengale, both of Indianapolis, IN. He is survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is also survived by one brother-Leonard Massengale of Indianapolis, IN and one sister-Dorothy Patton of Monticello, KY, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers-Lawrence, David and Lester Massengale and one sister-Alene Jones.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Friday, June 6th, 2003 at 11 AM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Wheeler officiating.
Interment: Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
