Nellie Ermon Yancey was born May 29, 1925 and departed this life Sunday, March 21, 2021 reaching the age of 95 years. She was the daughter of the late Loran and Rose (Mikel) Barnes.

She is survived by: her niece, Janet Bell; and numerous cousins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Loran and Rose Barnes, she was preceded in death by: her 1 ^st husband, Olen Barnett; her 2 ^nd husband, Carl Yancey; brothers, Herbert, Claude, and Riley Barnes; and one sister, Edith Irene Price.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 between 8 am – 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance.
