Nellie Elizabeth Crabtree went to be with her Lord on Sept. 6, 2011 at her home, reaching the age of 77.

She was born on March 1, 1934 and grew up in Spann Hill, KY, the daughter of John and Mary E. Roberts.

She was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Crabtree, who survives her in death. She is also survived by 3 children, Josephine (Donald) Frost of Monticello, KY, Ann (Lloyd) DeRossett of Somerset, KY, and Bruce (Debbie) Crabtree of Monticello, KY.

She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Robyn Poynter, Terry Frost, Shannon (Amy) Dishman, Robert (Amy) Frost, Shanda(Rick) Gregory, Tara(Daryl) Page, and Seth Crabtree; 13 great-grandchildren, Caitlin Dick, Aaron Crabtree, Kaitlin Frost, Colten Poynter, Josie Jackson, Emily Jackson, Tristan Gregory, Kelsie Dishman, Elizabeth Frost, Maggie Jackson, Ethan Gregory, Alexander Frost, Landon Dishman; several nieces and nephews and other family.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Having accepted Christ as her Savior, she was a member of Newtown Baptist Church and attended Parmley's Grove Baptist Church.

Many in the community will remember her from her years of service at the Cumberland Dairy.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Dick, Bro. Larry Marcum, and Bro. Darrell Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Spann Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

In her memory donations may be made to the Parmley's Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
