MYRTLE TUCKER DOSS was born July 29, 1922 and departed this life July 30, 2006 reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Jerry Tucker and Sarah Morrow Tucker.

She was united in marriage to John Henry Doss and to this union three children were born.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry and Henry Doss both of Monticello, KY; one daughter, Faye Abbott of Monticello, KY; a step son, Carl Ray Doss; two stepdaughters, Irene Atkins and Nancy Lowe; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by 3 brothers, R. B. Tucker, Ed and Earl Morrow; and 4 sisters, Lois Tucker, Stella Williams, Dora Lewis, and Betty Dishman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Doss; her parents, Jerry and Sarah Tucker; 1 stepson, Buddy Doss; 1 stepdaughter, Shirley Sexton; 1 grandchild; 3 brothers, Crit, Lloyd, and Frank Tucker; 1 sister, Dorothy Smith; and 2 step brothers, Judge and Andrew Rigney.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Friday, August 11th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, August 12th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
