Montie Upchurch was born February 27, 1920 and departed this life September 6, 2008 reaching the age of 88 years. She was the daughter of the late John Criswell and Lela Simpson Criswell.

She married Roscoe Upchurch and to this union eight children were born.

She is survived by: 7 sons- Jack Upchurch of Stanford, KY, Earl Upchurch of Stearns, KY, John Ralph Upchurch of Manning, SC, David, Wade, and Roscoe Jr. Upchurch of Monticello, KY and Mark Allen Upchurch of Stanford, KY, and 1 daughter- Lela Ann Davis of Monticello, KY, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by: 1 sister, Lola Abbott of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers-Jason and Golman Criswell and 3 sisters, Sydney Peercy, Lona Crabtree and Annie Elizabeth Simpson.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 10th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Thursday, September 11th at 10 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
