Mitchell Ray Shaw, age 60, passed away October 22, 2018 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.  He was born February 8, 1958 to the late Robert and Cecil (Squires) Shaw.  He attended Cumberland County Schools.  On October 7, 1978. He was united in marriage to Sandra Lynn Carroll, and they were blessed with 40 years of marriage.  To this union 2 sons were born.

Mitchell was employed at USF Holland in Lexington, KY for 23 years, was a part of the Teamsters Union for 23 years and drove a truck for various other companies for 15 years. He was a member at Jesus Name church in Monticello.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, church, drums, camping, trucking, working with wood, playing with his grandchildren, CB radios, eating and cooking.

Survivors include his wife - Sandra, sons - Jason (Andrea) and Dustan (Jessica), four grandchildren- Titus, Isaiah, Ava, and Alivia, two sisters- Jenice (Jim) Shea and Effie (Mitchell) Catron, 3 nieces and 1 nephew, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and a host of friends and church family who mourn his passing.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Cecil Shaw, grandparents Ollie and Levis Squires and Lee and Ida Shaw.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2018 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home and Friday, October 26, 2018 between 10 am – 1 pm at the Jesus Name Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1 pm at the Jesus Name Church. Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Cemetery.
