Minnie Jane Walters was born October 28, 1943 and passed from this life Sunday, July 31, 2022 reaching the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Wright) West.

Preceding Minnie in death were her nine sisters, Ola, Lola, Luria, Chub, Ida, Iza Pearl, Willie, Lilie and Faye and two brothers, James and Ray, and her two children, David and Krystal.

She is survived by one grandson, Justin (Devyn) West and great grandson, Axl West.

Minnie enjoyed time with her dog, quilting, and reading. She had retired from Britthaven Nursing Home as a housekeeper. While Minnie led a quiet life, she was a very loving person. There are numerous nieces, nephews and family who mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2022 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Parmley's Grove Cemetery.
