Obituary
Mildred Louise Jones, age 88 of Monticello, KY, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Wayne County Hospital.
She was born April 9, 1923 in Smithfield, Ohio; the daughter of the late Ralph and Lorena Mallernee.
On August 10, 1944 she was united in marriage with Harold Jones. Her grandfather, A. L. Wees officiated at the ceremony. Mildred and Harold recently celebrated their 67th anniversary.
She and Harold had five children: Richard Terry Jones (wife, Rose), Linda Dean (husband, Larry), Patricia Paver, Thomas Jones and Kathy Heath. There are 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mildred also had 3 sisters: Marguerite Roat, Betty Kelly and Carol Edwards.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Flagler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
Shriner's Children's Hospital in Lexington, KY or other children's organization
