Mildred Evans was born July 18, 1928 and departed this life Thursday, December 22, 2011 reaching the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Tilda (Stinson) Pyles.

She was united in marriage to Willard Evans and to this union 8 children were born.

She is survived by: 5 sons, Leonard, Delmer, and Tim Evans all of Albany, KY, Larry and Gary Evans both of Monticello, KY; 3 daughters, Donna Smith of Albany, KY, Norma Jean Dishman of Monticello, KY, and Collene Baker of Byrdstown, TN; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 brother, Grady Pyles of Monticello, KY; and 1 sister, Lillie Stinson of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Eugene and Tilda Pyles, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Willard Evans; 2 brothers, Willie and Claude Pyles; and 4 sisters, Hattie Hicks, Antha Rains, Alta Koger, and Lila Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Luther Dishman officiating. Burial will be in Pyles Cemetery.
