Mildred L. Blevins

Mildred L. (Kitts) Blevins was born October 26, 1935, and departed this life Saturday, October 3, 2026, reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Loyd and Pernie (Jordan) Kitts.

She married Edwin C. “Jake” Blevins and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: one daughter, Sandy Blevins-Steer (Frank); one son, Mark C. Blevins (Brenda); several grandchildren; step grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She is also survived by: one brother, Louie Kitts; and one sister, Maxine Weaver; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Loyd and Pernie Kitts, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Jake Blevins; and several siblings.

Mildred was a devoted Christian, who loved the Lord. She was always happy and uplifting, making others feel welcome.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2026, between 11 am – 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 12 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
