Obituary
Michael Doss was born January 23, 1959 and departed this life Thursday, January 12, 2012 reaching the age of 52. He was the son of Earl and Louise (Adkins) Doss.
He was united in marriage on February 22, 1986 to Janet Sexton and to this union 2 children were born.
He is survived by: his wife, Janet Doss of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Jessica Lynn and Ashley Jo Doss both of Monticello, KY; and 1 granddaughter, Cadence Grace Branscum of Monticello, KY.
He is also survived by: his parents, Earl and Louise Doss of Monticello, KY; 2 brothers, Earl Ray "Bub" and Tommy Doss both of Monticello, KY; and 2 nephews, Tommy Lee and Corey Doss of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He served his country with honor for 15 years in the United States Navy.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Byron Creech and Bro. Clyde Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery with military honors being performed by our local DAV Chapter 105.
