Obituary
Mertie Stephens was born March 10, 1947 and departed this life Tuesday, March 30, 2010 reaching the age of 63 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Pearlie Emaline (Fulton) Stephens.
She is survived by: 2 brothers, Frank and George Stephens, 5 sisters, Ora Jane Peircy, Joyce Lowe, Elgie Mae Carter, Lucy Stinson, and Rita Hancock; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, John and Pearlie Stephens, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Billy Stephens; and 2 sisters, Sarah Belle Atkinson and Avo Hicks.
She was a loving sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Friday, April 2nd after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, April 3rd at 2:30 pm
Interment: Gap Creek Cemetery
