Melissa Criswell was born November 28, 1972, and departed this life Monday, May 19, 2025, reaching the age of 52 years. She was the daughter of Estil and Wanda (Adams) Thompson.

She married Mark Criswell and to this union two children were born.

In addition to her parents, Estil and Wanda Thompson, and her husband, Mark Criswell, she is survived by: one son, Austin Dakota Criswell (Bailey); one daughter, Carrie Mae Criswell; one grandchild, Callahan Criswell; and two sisters, Kendra Ryan and Katrina Estelle Frei; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Criswell Cemetery.
