Maymie Dunagan was born July 5, 1936 and departed this life September 25, 2008 reaching the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of the late William Gobel and Elizabeth (Castle) Duncan.

She married Robert Dunagan and to this union 4 children were born.

She is survived by: 1 son- Jerry (Sherry) Dunagan of Monticello, KY, 3 daughters- Matilda "Tilly" (Roger) Slagle and Susie (Randy) Cowan both of Monticello, KY, and Bobbi Jo (Dale) Weakley of Pleasant View, TN, 7 grandchildren- Casey Slagle, Jonathan Decious, Jessica and Elizabeth Cowan, Kaitlyn Dunagan, Cayce and Keith Weakley, and 2 great grandchildren- Bryce Catron and Ashland Jordan Weakley. She is also survived by: 1 brother- Jack Duncan, and 3 sisters- Nancy Criswell, Louise Powell, and Bonnie Jones; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband- Robert Dunagan, 1 brother- Billy Duncan, and Mary Duncan Shoemaker.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Saturday, September 27th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Sunday, September 28th at 2 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
