Obituary
Maxine Piercy was born September 3, 1924 and departed this life Sunday, February 22, 2015 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtie (Hughes) Bridgeman.
She married James Oral Piercy and to this union 7 children were born.
She is survived by: three sons, Danny, Dennis, and Bobby Piercy; three daughters, Judy Cross, Katy Webb, and Carline Massengale; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Charlie and Myrtie Bridgeman, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Oral Piercy; one son, Gale Piercy; five brothers, Earl and Lonnie Edwards, Robert, Marion, and Gilbert Piercy; and three sisters, Elsie Atkinson, Flonnie Catron, and Lena Hicks.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
