Obituary
MAURICE GENE RODEN was born December 6, 1929 and departed this life March 27, 2005 reaching the age of 75 years. He was the son of Edgar Roden and Marie Fields Roden.
He was united in marriage to Edith Smith and to this union two children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Roden of Venice, FL; two daughters, Beverly J. Roden of Dayton, OH and Belinda J. Chaffins of Tipp City, OH; one granddaughter, Carrie Lynne Chaffins; and three sisters, Mary Louise Haskell of Cincinnati, OH, Wilma Mathews of Murphy, NC, and Shirley Young of Dayton, OH.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Marie Roden.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country faithfully. He retired in 1986 from General Motors in Dayton, OH, where he worked as Project Manager. He was an avid motorcyclist and a member of GWRRA (Gold Wing Road Riders Association).
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Friday,April 1 after 5 pm and Saturday, April 2 after 8 am
Funeral Service: Saturday, April 2 at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
