Maurice Franklin "Frank" Boston, born 09/13/1936, went to sleep in Mill Springs and woke up in Heaven August 8 ^th , 2022, what he said he always intended to do.

Frank was a man of duty who believed in hard work and his word was his bond. In his youth Frank served in the National Guard and was a firefighter. He was a long-haul trucker and retired from Somerset Oil Refinery after many years as a dispatcher. Frank also valued a good time, traveling often to bluegrass music festivals, Nashville and spending time with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, co-pilot and best friend, Donna Brown Boston, his parents Ola and Thelma (Lovell) Boston, brothers Preston, Joe, Gilbert and Tom Boston, sisters Joyce Abbott and Nell Coop, nephews Jarred Coop and Jeffery Boston, and Great Nephew Cody Birchell.

Among those left to mourn his passing six siblings of the Boston 13 remain: Julia (Doug) Sims, Betty Buckley, Sue (Hank) Bassett, Carolyn Speer, Dan (Glenna) Boston, and Charles (Phyllis) Boston. Frank leaves behind 15 nieces, nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews and 18 great-great nieces and nephews. Frank had many friends and neighbors who were loved as close as family and who will also miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Hospice of Lake Cumberland or God's Food Pantry.
