Masel Baker was born September 5, 1962 and departed this life Monday, April 21, 2014 reaching the age of 51 years. She was the daughter of the late Ellis "Curly" Godsey and Pauline Daniels Godsey.

She is survived by: two sons, David and Christopher "Rodney" Piercy (Brandy); two daughters, Michelle Stinson (James) and Tyann Hicks (Troy); and seven grandchildren, Dustin and Kayla Stinson, Matthew Piercy, Haley, Jayden, and Emma Hicks, and Keely Bertram. She is also survived by: four sisters, Marilyn Paige, Laurine Piercy,  Jeannie Thompson, and Lena Dishman; and two brothers, Jerry Godsey and Buck Godsey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents "Curly" and Pauline Godsey, she is also preceded in death by an infant child.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2014 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
