Mary Jo Perkins was born September 3, 1959 and departed this life Wednesday, April 21, 2021 reaching the age of 61 years. She was the daughter of Beulah (Mason) Dickenson and the late Elmer Johnson Perkins.

In addition to her mother, Beulah Dickenson, she is survived by: three sons, Richard Lee Lyons, William Jonathan Lyons and James Derick Lyons; one daughter, Breanna Nicole Lyons; and five grandchildren, Zach Johnson, Ashton Lyons, Amwrenn Vaught, Connor Lyons and Kaylee Goff. She is also survived by:  three brothers, Johnny Perkins, Todd Dulin and Greg Dickenson; and five sisters, Carolyn Randall, Janette Phelps, Rita Perkins, Vickie Smith, and Christy Painter; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, 2021 between 6pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
