Mary Hicks Martin was born February 10, 1933 and departed this life Monday, January 4, 2010 reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Tommy and Perna (Bridgeman) Dishman.

She was united in marriage to Luther Hicks who preceded her in death. She later married Freeman Martin who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by: 3 sons, Donald (Jewell) Hicks of Monticello, KY, Daniel (Marlene) Hicks of Hamilton, OH, and Darrell (Rhonda) Hicks of Monticello, KY; 1 daughter, Debbie (James) Tucker; 5 grandchildren, Tana (Ray) Tedrick, Chris (Tanya) Hicks, Jamie (Jake) Allen, Joshua Tucker, and Hayden (Anne) Hicks; 2 step grandchildren, Nathan Stephenson and Brooke Turner; and 5 great grandchildren, Greyson, Olivia, and Ryder Hicks, Lacie Tedrick and Bryce Allen. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, Thomas and Phillip Dishman; and 3 sisters, Emily Crabtree, Christine Goff and Alta McGinis; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Tommy and Perna Dishman, she was preceded in death by: he first husband, Luther Hicks; her second husband, Freeman Martin; and 2 brothers, James and Mac Dishman.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 6th at 11 am - Steubenville Baptist Church
