IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Jane
Fulton
November 26, 1959 – November 8, 2024
Mary Jane (Crabtree) Fulton, was born November 26, 1959, in the Murl Community of Monticello, and passed away, Friday, November 8, 2024, reaching the age of 64 years. She was the daughter of Emily Maedean (Dishman) and (the late) Haskel "Hack" Lee Crabtree.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by 1 daughter, Shannon Lee (Morris) Tzanahua; 1 son, Joseph Kaine Fulton; 2 granddaughters, Torie Morris (and Tommy Scott), and Lilliana Zanahua (and Nick Barber); 1 grandson, Samuel Zanahua (fiancé, Alondra Becerra); 1 great-grand baby on the way; 1 brother, Jerry (Kathy) Crabtree; 2 sisters, June Humble (Arthur Reynolds), and Dena (Mike) Guffey; ex-husband & dear friend, Jessie Fulton; along with many nieces/nephews, aunts/uncles, family, friends, and loved ones who loved and will miss her so much.
Mary was baptized at a young age and attended Faith Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling all over…whether it be beach trips with her family, a weekend getaway to Gatlinburg, or even driving to New York to pick up a puppy. When the wheels were rolling Mary was ready to go.
Mary loved Betty Boop, reading, working in her flower beds, and jamming out to good music. She loved animals, having many beloved pets over the years. Horses, dogs, or any stray cat that came along would have a home, including her tomcat named Betty.
She loved driving a good-looking car, which all started when she learned to drive in a red '68 Dodge Charger.
Mary became a mother to her first-born Shannon Lee at an early age. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, they were her world. She was so excited when she found out she was going to be a grandmother and was even in the delivery room to cut the umbilical cord. More recently she found out she was going to be a great-grandma… She said, "Oh Lord, you're making me older than I am." Which meant she was excited!
Like clockwork, every morning, she called one of her siblings and talked about everything. Now, their mornings will never be the same.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
