Mary Jo Farmer Shrum, also known by many as Tinsey, born August 7, 1955 passed away surrounded by her family on August 6, 2022, one day before her 67th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Lola (Acrey) Farmer and Harvey Lee Otto Farmer and 2 other sisters Wanda Farmer and Jessica Schupp-Bowling.

She is survived by 2 sons Joshua (Heather) Shrum of Monticello, KY, Corey Austin (Joseph) Ziegler-Shrum of Atlanta, GA, and her niece Jennifer Schupp-Baker (Jack) Baker. She was also a Grandmother to Kayden Shrum. She is also survived by: 2 brothers- Boyce Farmer of Monticello, KY and Johnny Farmer of Science Hill, KY and 1 sister, Patricia Mersch of Somerset, KY along with close family and friends who mourn her passing.

Mary Jo had a huge impact on many in the Monticello community. Those who knew her will remember her for her kindness, generosity and love for her 2 sons, family, work family and friends.

Visitation and a Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00PM and funeral service on Friday August 12, 2022 to start at 10:00AM. Interment will be at Elk Spring Cemetery.
