Mary Doris Decker was born April 30, 1940, and departed this life Tuesday, March 25, 2025, reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Lucas and Edith Lucille (Snow) Garner.

She is survived by: three daughters, Virginia Lair, Becky Bell, and Dona Fite; 14 grandchildren, Christopher Barnes, Ashley Barnes, Shandora Lair, Kirstin Lair, Zackary Lair, Shasta Scarborough, Nelly Barnes, Sabrin Barnes, Jamie Smith, Courtney Bell, Emily Decker, Erin Upchurch, Damien Rednour, and Jacqueling Rednour Hare; 29 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by:  four brothers, Jesse, Gary, Charlie, and Randy Garner; three sisters, Marjorie Barnes, Sandra Hunter, and Dorothy Rains; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one son, Chester Eugene Decker; four brothers, John, Bruce, Everett "Butch", and Keith Garner.

Mary was saved at a young age and was a member of Faith Baptist Church for 54 years.

She enjoyed playing softball and played for 29 years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm at Faith Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1 pm at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cabell Grove Cemetery.
