Obituary
Mary Lou Carroll was born July 22nd, 1934 in Russell County, Kentucky and departed this life Tuesday, April 8th, 2003, reaching the age of 68 years. She was the daughter of William H. Stearns and Willie Story Stearns.
She was united in marriage to Thurman Carroll, and to this union six children were born.
She is survived by three sons-Gary, Rocky and Bo Carroll, all of Monticello, KY and three daughters-Ida Boston and Judy Foster, of Monticello, KY and Sheila Carroll of Pine Knot, KY. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister-Brenda Wilson of Oakdale, PA, her stepmother-Dorothy Stearns, two half-brothers-James Lewis Stearns of Albany,KY and Billy Joe Stearns of Louisville, KY and one half-sister-Sue Johnson of Albany, KY, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thurman, one grandchild, one full brother-Minford Stearns and one half-brother-Dale Stearns, two full sisters-Reba Lewis Stearns and Barbara Stearns and one half sister-Pauline Sweat.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 4 PM on Thursday, April 10th in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Friday, April 11th at 2 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Church Cemetery.
