Mary Carrender was born September 9, 1928 and departed this life Tuesday, October 16, 2012 reaching the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late John and Nannie (Russell) Sexton.

She is survived by: three daughters, Carol (Lloyd) Hutto of TN, Maryanne Carrender of FL, Pam (Mike) Parkin of FL; and two sons, Barry (Kathy) Carrender of Harrodsburg, KY, Jerry (Jodie) Carrender of Lawrenceburg, KY; two brothers, Jack (Joanne) Sexton of Danville, KY, Kenneth (Stella) Sexton of Monticello, KY; eleven grandchildren & fourteen great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, John and Nannie, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie and Greg Carrender, and by two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 11am - 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. John Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
