MARY HELEN ACREY was born October 1st, 1922 in Rossville, Illinois and departed this life Friday, December 15th, 2006 reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Joe Lewis and Ella Warner Guffey.

She is survived by her husband Hubby, three daughters-Joyce Hicks of Albany, KY, Patsy Gregory of Lexington, KY and Judy Acrey-Ledbetter of Monticello, KY and three sons-Keith Acrey of Alpha, KY, David Acrey of Franklin, KY and Chuck Acrey of Alpha, KY.

She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ella Guffey, 5 brothers-Ray, Lovel, Roy, Earl and Chester Guffey, 1 half-sister-Myrtle Ramsey and 1 grandson-Barry Ledbetter.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 6 PM CST on Sunday, December 17th, 2006.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Monday, December 18th, 2006 at 2:00 PM CST in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Nelson officiating.
Interment: Burial will be in the Choate Cemetery.
