Martha Jean Carrender Rose, age 53, formerly of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 in Burnside, Ky. She was born November 28, 1948, the daughter of Judge Carrender and Alta Turpin Carrender.

She is survived by a daughter- Tammy Jeanette Anderson of Burnside, Ky., four sons- Richard Douglas Rose of North Carolina, and Bobby Ray Rose, Billy Dean Rose, and Larry Dewayne Rose, all of Monticello. She is survived by 10 grandchildren.

She is also survived by three brothers- Homer Carrender of Bronston, Ky., Hubert Carrender of Science Hill, Ky., and Herman Carrender of Monticello, Ky.; 4 sisters- Christene Black of Somerset, Ky., Irene Helton of Indianapolis, Indiana, Edna Keith of Ohio, and Lois Keith of Somerset, KY, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and the father of her children-Ray Douglas Rose, one sister- Flossie Carrender and one brother-Finley Carrender.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
