Mark Parmley was born August 23, 1962 and departed this life Wednesday, July 29, 2015 reaching the age of 52 years. He was the son of the late Oliver and Lyda (Stringer) Parmley.


He married Carol Bertram and to this union two children were born.


He is survived by: his wife, Carol Parmley and one daughter, Rebecca Parmley. He is also survived by: three brothers, and three sisters as well as a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Oliver and Lyda Parmley, he was preceded in death by: one son, Brandon Parmley; and three brothers, Rex, Eric, and Larry Parmley.


He was a loving husband, father, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2015 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery.


The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Mark Parmley Memorial Fund c/o the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
