Marie Barnes was born September 16, 1927 and departed this life Saturday, July 11, 2009 reaching the age of 81 years. She was the daughter of the late McKinley Clark and Pearl Guffey Clark.

She was united in marriage to Isiac Hershel "Turk" Barnes, and to this union 8 children were born.

She is survived by:

5 sons.....Gerald, Mike, Rick, Sam, and Terry Barnes all of Monticello, Kentucky.

2 daughters.....Alice Barnes and Rita Matthews both of Monticello, Kentucky.

3 sisters.....Agnes Sutton of Stop, Kentucky, Glenna West of Monticello, Kentucky, and Bernice Dulworth of Indiana.

3 grandchildren.....Crystal, Rachel, and Dustin Barnes.

2 step-grandchildren.....Angela Coffey and Shannon Catron.

2 step-great grandchildren......Tori Coffey and Tanner Catron.

She is preceded in death by:

Her husband.....Isiac Hershel "Turk" Barnes.

One daughter.....Juanita Barnes.

Her parents.....McKinley and Pearl Clark.

One brother.....Porter Clark

4 sisters.....Pauline Owens, Betty York, Lucy Westin, and Oma Buster.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, step-grandmother, step-great grandmother, sister, relative, and friend that will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Monday, July 13th, 2009, after 5pm in the funeral home chapel.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 14th, 2009, at 1pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Stop Cemetery
