Margie Lillie Stinson was born March 28, 1931, in the Slickford area of Wayne County and departed this life on November 17, 2023, reaching the age of 92 years old. She was the widower of Arnold Stinson and the daughter of the later Eugene and Tilda Pyles.

She is survived by: her children: Jerry (Opal) Hancock, Ann Hicks, Sue (Donald) Thompson, Elaine Hicks, Donnie (Debra) Stinson, Tommie (Brenda) Stinson, and Bobby (Ginger) Stinson; 7 grandchildren, Carolyn, Dewayne, Angie, Steve, Josh, Becky, and Derrick; 11 great-grandchildren, Piper, Bradley, Trenton, Whitney, Mila, Margo, Destiny, Kaity, Addison, Jacklyn, and Kammi; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Oscar Hancock, and 2nd husband, Arnold Stinson, her parents, one grandson, three sons-in-law, and all her siblings.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
