Margie Kennard was born September 2, 1927 and departed this life Saturday, January 15, 2011 reaching the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Preston Campbell and Nila Vivian Williams.

She was united in marriage to Walter Kennard and to this union 2 children were born.

She is survived by: 4 grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Klotzer, Kendra (Tray) Conrad, Janie Leibee, and Robbie (Dana) Kennard; and 5 great grandchildren, Brendan Klotzer, Justin and Joshua Cole, Walter Shane and Alyssa Kennard. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, Forrest (Carolyn) Williams of Berea, KY and Bill (Pat) Williams of West Chester, OH; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 children, Frank Kennard and Carolyn Sue Kennard; and 1 brother, Robert Williams.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 10 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery in Flat Gap, KY with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, KY in charge of committal services.
