Marble Godsey was born December 15, 1932 and departed this life Saturday, June 22, 2013 reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Oscar and Alcie (Hardwick) Godsey.

He is survived by: 5 daughters, Jacqueline Alexander, Linda Black, Elaine Kennedy, Michelle Vaughn, and Christal Dick; 1 brother, Benton Godsey; 1 sister, Renda West; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by: one son, Johnny C. Godsey; 2 brothers, Regil Godsey and Harley Wendell Godsey; and 3 sisters Gertie Bertram, Lizzie Moran, and Ollie Dieter.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 5-9 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro Stanley Tucker, Bro. Larry Foster, and Bro. Ron Andrews officiating. Burial Will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
