Magdalene "Maggie" Ramsey, age 85, died September 6, 2015 at her home in the Stop community of Wayne County, Kentucky. She was born on March 17, 1930 in Fidelty, Kentucky and was raised in Cooperative (Co-Op), Kentucky both of which were coal mining camps in McCreary County.

She was the only daughter of Francis Marion Gregory and Gertrude (Jones) Gregory. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Vernon, Conan, Arnold, Joe Dean, and Esmon; her husband, Obie Ramsey; and a son, Allan Ramsey.

On January 26, 1949 she married Obie Ramsey and to this union four children were born. Three of these children survive: Nikki Morrow and Dinah Tucker both of Monticello, KY and Willie Ramsey of Somerset, KY. She is also survived by: one brother, Dale Gregory; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was a homemaker who loved her family very much and was a faithful member of the Stop Church of Christ since 1952.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2015 between 5pm - 8pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stop Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Stop Cemetery Fund
