Lyle Thomas Cross was born September 14, 1936, and departed this life Tuesday, March 25, 2025, reaching the age of 88 years. He was the son of the late William Hardy and Nannie (Bell) Cross.

He is survived by: his wife, Judy (Piercy) Cross; three daughters, Patricia Khan-Hess (Andrew), Angela Bell (Stuart), and Felicia Flynn (Eddie); seven grandchildren, Matt Cross (Taylor), Tyler Roberts, Jaime Blevens (Ryan), Hunter Bell, Jericka Flynn, Dewayne Flynn, and Jimmie Flynn; and six great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, William and Nannie Cross, he was preceded in death by: his 1st wife, Christeen (Davis) Cross; one son, Rick Cross; one grandchild, Jasmine Khan; five brothers, Jim, Bernard,William, Arthur and Jay Cross; and one sister, Faye Stinson.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
