Lyle Atkinson was born December 5, 1937 and departed this life Monday, October 26, 2020 reaching the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Waters) Atkinson.

He is survived by: four daughters, Deborah (Shawn) Abbott, Brenda (Bo) Carroll, Connie (Dallas) Piercy, and Cathey Atkinson; grandchildren, Stephanie Corder, Derek Piercy, Katarra Dobbs, Felicia Carroll, Ashley Piercy, Heather Abbott, Alex Piercy, Laurie Abbott, Zachary Piercy, and Matthew Abbott; and great-grandchildren, Gracie Corder, Briar Corder, and Fox Piercy. He is also survived by:  one brother, Donnie Atkinson; and three sisters, Ina Denney, Betty Carter and Shirley Asberry; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Mary Atkinson, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Elizabeth Atkinson; his son, Darrell Atkinson; two brothers, Willard and Ellis Lee Atkinson; and 2 sisters, Wilma Carter and Linda Sue Atkinson.
